Today is National Dare Day! I actually encourage my clients to do a "Dare of the Day". Something that pushes them outside their comfort zone. That makes them do something that they wouldn't normally do, something that scares them.
It is such a great exercise that helps them build up their confidence. You can do something that you have never done before and know that it is OK whether you do it well or do it bad. If we can trust ourselves to do something that scares us, then we realize there is nothing that we cannot do.
Here is the other thing about confidence. It doesn't feel very good while we are building it up. We have to do a lot of things that are uncomfortable. BUT the power that we feel within our selves when we do it, That's the amazing part.
Here is my list of Dares for the week:
Tell someone new that I appreciate them
Put on a bathing suit
Talk to two neighbors I have not spoken to before
Do a 10km bike ride
Do a video for my Instagram stories
Throw away my blinds from my bathroom and put up privacy film on the glass
Keep my video on while doing my exercise class
I felt sick to my stomach just writing my list. That's a good sign. I'm picking things that will be hard for me.
So here is my challenge for you! Try doing a Dare of The Day this whole week! See how it makes you feel. Hopefully sick to your stomach at first but then you will feel amazing!!
